The NIU Hockey website was redesigned to reduce information overload and direct the user to well defined spaces that provides them with the information they are searching for. A redesigned headline news area now dominates the page with relevant graphics that are both ascetically pleasing and informative. Less important articles still remain on the home page but in a more manageable layout. Game information and the latest league standings are found in the new Game Central box. With the teams growing use of Facebook, a Fan Box has been integrated into the homepage to provide the latest information from other fans and the club
