Karina Nistal is fresh off a new redesign for 2011-2012.
The black, grey and pop of magento color scheme borrows from her latest album, Nistalgia which are Karina’s signature colors. The website is built on top of WordPress which allows for easy website management. To allow for direct purchasing of her new album, the website features a store section allowing customers to order the new album securely with any major credit card or PayPal. The homepage has a buit in Twitter feed as well as links to her latest news, and social media websites. Other features such as an anti-spam contact form, light box and integration with Facebook and MySpace which immediately sends posts to those services when news is released on the website gives this young rising artist the tools and website needed to connect with her fans.

Karina also earned the Houston Press “Local Rap/Hip Hop Award for 2007” and the “Best Latin Contemporary Award for 2008” and nominated again for “Best Latin Contemporary Award” for 2009 and again in 2010. Karina stays on the grind, performing regularly with her 8-piece band of outstanding musicians, The Karina Nistal Band at Bohemeos cafe, House of Blues Houston, several local festivals and cities all over Texas. She continues free-styling over DJ’s sets at parties/events, recording new music, making videos, collaborating with various top producers in the studio, emceeing reputable events, and now working on voiceovers including featuring on commercials for Telemundo Spanish network.
Her sophomore album, Nistalgia (independent) was recently released October 2010. This album showcases a more soulful side of Karina along with some of her best songwriting. Nistalgia includes songs with her band ranging from Latin, Hip Hop, Reggae, Bossanova, and a few hot Dance remixes. Read more…
