Shopify development. A store that sells while you pack the orders.

Shopify runs the cart, the checkout and the payments well out of the box. What it does not do on its own is look like you, load quickly, and keep up as the business changes. That part is the development, whether the store opens next month or has been open for years.

The theme is the start, not the store.

Most stores begin from a theme, and a good theme is a sound place to begin. What a theme cannot know is your catalog: how your products group, what somebody needs to see before they buy, which details belong on a product page and which get in the way.

So the collections, the filters and the product pages get built around how your customers actually shop. The theme is changed where it has to be and left alone where it does not, which keeps it easy to update and keeps the store yours to edit without calling anybody.

How we build sites

Four reasons people call us.

Most Shopify work starts with one of these, and plenty of stores need more than one.

Starting to sell online

A new store from the first product: the theme chosen or built, the catalog set up, payments, shipping and taxes configured with you, and the store launched in your name.

A new look after a rebrand

New logo, colors and type carried through the whole store rather than just the header, so the product pages, the emails Shopify sends and the checkout all match.

Speed fixes

Image sizes, app scripts and theme code trimmed, because a slow product page on a phone loses the sale before it loads. Measured before and after on a real phone.

How we fix a slow site

Help as you grow

New pages, collections, product layouts and seasonal changes when you need them, so the store keeps up with the business without you learning theme code.

Shopify handles the checkout. The rest of the store decides whether anybody gets there.

What we will say first.

Three things worth hearing before a store gets built.

A theme may be all you need

For plenty of stores the right answer is a well-chosen theme, set up properly, rather than a custom build. We will say so, and it costs a fraction of the alternative.

The store stays in your name

The Shopify account, the domain, the theme and the apps are yours from the first day. We work as a collaborator on your store rather than owning it.

A new store brings no visitors

People arrive from search and from ads, and a launch does not change that. We will tell you which of the two the budget should go to first, and it is often neither until the product pages are right.

What owners ask about Shopify.

The questions that come up on nearly every first call about a store.

Yes, when the store needs one. More often we start from a well-built theme and customize it, which is faster, costs less and stays easier to keep current with Shopify's own updates. You hear which on the first call.

Yes. A lot of Shopify work is on stores that already exist: a new look after a rebrand, a store that has slowed down, new pages and collections. We start by looking at what is there and tell you what is worth changing.

Yes. Products and customers come across, and so can order history in most cases. Every old address is redirected to its new page, so the search rankings the old store earned follow it.

Yes. Products, prices, collections and pages are all edited in Shopify's own admin, and we show you how before the store is handed over.

The store is built with it: titles and descriptions for every product and collection, clean addresses, product data Google can read, and pages quick enough on a phone to rank. Ongoing search work is its own service.

We do not publish a price, because a theme set up for thirty products and a custom build for three thousand are not the same job. The first conversation costs nothing and ends either with a price or with an honest we need to look at this properly first.

Nobody buys a plan they haven't seen.

The free audit is a look at what you already have and what it is costing you, sent over with nothing to sit through. The plan is a conversation about where the business is and where you want it to get to, and it ends with a path written down rather than a quote. Or you call, and somebody who works on accounts picks up.
