Website care plans: care and support. The site was finished. Then it was not.
A site goes live and then two things start happening to it. Security holes get published and plugins fall behind, which is what Safe and Sound is for. And the business keeps moving, so the hours change, a service gets added and a page needs rewriting, which is what web support is for. Most sites want both, and they are priced and run as two things rather than one vague retainer.

Two plans, and most sites want both.
Safe and Sound is the watching part: WordPress and its plugins patched as security releases land, a backup taken every night and kept off the server, and monitoring that runs day and night for the things that come before a break-in. If the site is ever compromised we clean it, secure it and restore it, included, rather than quoting you for the recovery at the worst possible moment. If you host with us the SSL certificate is part of it as well.
Web support is the changing part: the content edits, the new sections and the design work that keep coming once a site is real and somebody has to do them. It is the plan townships and busy owners ask about most, because the alternative is that the person who would otherwise do it already has four other jobs, and the hours on the site are wrong by March.
Ask us about a planWhat Safe and Sound covers.
Four things, and between them they decide whether a bad week costs you an afternoon or a month.
Updated and patched
WordPress and its plugins kept current as security releases land, applied and then looked at rather than applied and hoped. Most sites that get taken are running something with a hole that was published months earlier.
Backed up every night
A backup taken nightly and kept off the server, so putting the site back is minutes rather than a conversation about what was lost. A copy that lives on the same machine as the site is not a backup.
Watched around the clock
Monitoring that runs day and night for what comes before a break-in: repeated login attempts, password resets nobody asked for, files changing when nobody has touched them. Addresses behaving like that get shut out.
Cleaned and restored if it happens
If the site is ever compromised we clean it, secure it and put it back, and that is in the plan. Getting hacked is a bad day. Being handed an emergency quote on the same day is a worse one.
Nothing here is exciting. It is the difference between a bad morning and a month of them.
What web support covers.
The other half, and the one that actually gets asked for every month. Three things, and between them they are most of what a live site needs from a person.
Content changes
The edits a live site needs and nobody scopes: hours, prices, staff, a paragraph that is out of date, a photograph that should have come down in the spring. Sent over and done, rather than saved up until there are enough of them to be worth a quote.
How we build sitesNew sections and pages
A service you have started offering, a page for a program that did not exist last year, a form that has to collect something different now. Built into the site you already have rather than bolted on where it does not fit.
What a new page is worthDesign work as it comes up
A layout that stopped working once there were nine of something instead of three, a section that reads badly on a phone, a header that needs to hold one more thing. The work a site accumulates by being used.
How we test what we changeWhat these plans are not.
Care and support are sold with a lot of words that mean very little, so here is the shape of ours, including where the line between the two sits.
Safe and Sound keeps the site patched, backed up, watched and recoverable, and it is not billed by the change. Content, new sections and design work are web support, on top of it or on their own. Two lines rather than one, so you can see what you are paying for and stop either one without losing the other.
Hosts have outages and updates have bugs, and no plan prevents that. What Safe and Sound buys is that somebody notices quickly, has a clean backup from last night, and can put the site back.
Your site, your hosting, your domain, in your name. If you stop either plan you keep everything and we hand over cleanly. A plan you cannot leave is a hostage arrangement.
Nobody buys a plan they haven't seen.
The free audit is a look at what you already have and what it is costing you, sent over with nothing to sit through. The plan is a conversation about where the business is and where you want it to get to, and it ends with a path written down rather than a quote. Or you call, and somebody who works on accounts picks up.
